memorial: i live in your memory

We live our lives in measure. We count hours, days, years; inches, pounds; footsteps, jumping jacks; lost teeth, and haircuts. Our experiences are the proof of our existence. In 2016, the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence reported 102 lives cut short due to Domestic Violence.

Those experiences extinguished.

Memorial is a 102-hour durational performance installation. This segment performed in the Ronald K DeLong Gallery is in response to the 7 deaths in Lehigh County in 2016. This work is in response to assault and violence enacted in the home. As a victim of domestic abuse, after 16 years, the artist responds to her first-hand experience.

The artist looks to perform this piece in every county in a Pennsylvania, memorializing all 102 deaths.
